Revision Paper

The revision of my mediation paper was a long and interesting one. The topic that I chose to wirte my mediation paper on was Premarital Sex. This is a very interesting topic because of the fact that it is a current issue that seems to be very contorversal. When I was revising my paper, one thing that Ineeded to do was make it longer by adding another problem to discuss. I decided to discuss the physical and emotional affetcts that premarital sex can have on the individuals in a relationship and the relationship itself. Through my research, I came across several posts on the internet by individuals who have regreted having premarital sex because of how it has affected them in the long run. I think that that is one thing that many people dont take into consideration before deciding to have premarital sex, the consequences. In my paper I was able find positives on both sides of the situation, and finding common ground was fairly simple. I think that the introdution to my paper is a good example on stating this and after revising it several times, I ended with this as my final introduction.
One of the many questions that couples stumble across is whether or not it is ok to have sex before marriage. As relationships progress the desires to have sex linger in one’s mind. It is not a correct answer to say that yes, it is ok to have premarital sex. On the other hand, you cannot say that the correct answer is no. Overall it depends on the individuals involved and how they feel about the situation. Many weigh the positives and negatives of fulfilling these desires, while others don’t even take the negatives into consideration. Is it moral to have premarital sex? If we choose to wait for marriage, how far can we go? What are the negative effects that it can have on the individuals in the relationship and the relationship itself? Many factors play a role in making a decision on whether or not to wait and have sex until after marriage.

Obama Speech

In Obamas speech, I thought that he made several good points. He said that we all have the same challenges in life, so together, as one we should work together to these solve them.He feels that we cant solve these problems without working together.I also enjoyed how he gave us insight into his own life and told us about his family.I thought that he handled the situation with the pastor very well. It is very true that we all here things that we disagree with.So just because his pastor may have said some things that looked bad, it doesnt mean that he necessarily agrees with them and I thought that was a great point to make.I liked how he went ot talk about positive things about the pastor. it is very true that we always look for the bad and never see the good. So I thought that was a good point to make.

So I'm sure that everyone knows of the issues that McDonalds has had with being accused of causing obesity among the population. When I saw this image, it made me think of that. Since this person happens to be overweight, and is being used in a McDonalds advertisement, I was wondering what message they wanted to get across when they made this ad.

I remember a long time ago when the movie "Super Size Me" came out. After I watched that video I decided that i didnt want to eat most fast food anymore because I suddenly realized how bad it was for me. In the past few years, alot of places have been selling things that are much healthier and giving people more options of what they want to eat.

What do you think the message is that they are trying to get across in this ad? Do you think that it is right for people to accuse them for their obesity problems?

Photo Essay

I got this photo essay from Time online. When I first read the title of the essay it really interested me. Its called "Class Pictures" It is a group of photographs of teenagers in the United States. With each photo, there is a caption that each one of them had come up with, with a story about their lives, or challenges that they have had. After reading through this, you really do get a better understanding about how different everyone really is. You also learn things about that person that you wouldnt have known just by seeing their photos, or by even talking to them. I thought that it was a really great idea to do such a project to see how different, and similar at the same time, teenagers across america are.

After going through and reading the captions of these different people, it made me think about what I would say to someone about my life if i was asked to take a photo and write a caption. It really got me thinking about what points in my life were the best and the worst, and what's most important to me. Also, how things that we say can have a little or big impact on someone elses life. I really dont think about how I have an impact on others, or how my photos could have an imapct on another person. I am majoring in photography, and I hope that one day I will be able to have an impact on other people through my photos, the way that many people are today. I really enjoyed looking and reading this photo essay and I hope you do as well.

What do you think about each of these photos and the story behind all of them? How would you feel if you were asked to do the same thing. What would you say? And possibly knowing that it was something that several people across America would see. I think that in this case, it was important to have text to tell the story, do you agree? In what other situations would you expect to see text used or not?

The Grammar Question

What is the semicolon for and how do you know when to use it and what to use it for.

The semicolon is something that i dont know if i have ever used in any of my wirting. It's optional. It contains a period and a and a comma. Period are easy to use because you just put them at the end of a sentence. So when do you use the combination of both the comma and period.

This website helps explain what the semicolon is and when to use it, even though it is optional, its something good to experiment with using if you havent used it before. I thought that it was useful in explaining what the semicolon is for.
